The school has resources and provided support services that support its purpose and direction to ensure success for all students.
Reflection
An overwhelming majority of the staff agree/strongly agree that the school "provides qualified staff members to support student learning" (86%) and that it "provides instructional time and resources to support our school's goals and priorities" (88%). Approximately three-fourths of staff agree that "our school provides protected instructional time" (74%) and "a variety of information resources to support student learning" (77%). A lesser percentage agree that "our school provides sufficient material resources to meet student needs" (64%), while 61% of students agree that "computers are up-to-date and used by teachers to help me learn."
R. B. Stall High School was fortunate to be a part of the district's Race to the Top grant, which focused on personalized learning through 1:1 technology. Beginning in 2013-14, Stall acquired iPads for every student in the school and provided professional development for teachers in how to integrate their use in the school to enhance student learning. Part of that learning involved the SAMR model, promoting technology use that significantly modifies and redefines the type of work students do. This year each classroom has a mobile charging cart loaded with iPads. Teachers use learning platforms such as Google Classroom, Schoology, or Edmodo to house assignments and communicate to the class.
